Description:
**Returning patients only. New patients must first complete a General Dental Consult with Dr. Stern.
There are many reasons that patients need an emergency dentist. We find that a dental emergency can strike at any time. If you have a toothache or a major dental emergency, book an emergency exam right away. Here are a list of reasons to schedule an emergency exam:
- Toothache: you brushed, flossed, and rinsed and it still hurts
- Tooth knocked out
- Gum/Tongue/Cheek Injuries: if bleeding will not stop
- Chipped/Broken Teeth: if the chip is significant, you tooth is cracked, or your tooth is in pieces
- Lost filling/crown
- Tooth loose
- Abscess
We can help patients to stay comfortable and live a life that is pain-free. If you visit while experiencing pain, we will identify what is creating the issue and the treatment options available for dealing with it. Often, we will also prescribe medication to help with the pain. This can prevent you from feeling discomfort while your tooth is being treated and at home. You may also want to apply a cold compress or ice pack to the area in order to reduce or prevent swelling.
Your emergency dental exam includes X-rays, consultation, prescription orders, and referrals to specialists.
Not included:
- Price of prescription(s), if needed
- Specialist appointment cost, if referred
Your provider may recommend one or more additional services during your visit. For additional pricing and payment during your visit, please see separate service listing on Sibi Health or ask your provider.
